Compact Storage Systems at your service

Once the systems corresponding to direct access to the pallets in a store is explained, it is time to review the second group of systems: storage units’ compact storage systems.

Compact Storage Systems

The storage capacity of these systems is higher than that of conventional systems with direct pallet access, although more time is required to perform each maneuver. Therefore, it is ideal for storing many pallets of the same reference (high consumption products), when the rotation and the FIFO criteria are not a priority. Check out the site for more information.

Next, we will see the central compact storage systems and their main characteristics:

Palletizing With Compact Shelves

Among the methods of compaction, this is the most economical and straightforward of all. Made up of a set of industrial shelves that form streets inside, arranged with rails on which the pallets rest.

Depending on the needs we have regarding the management of the loads, we have the possibility of using a variety of distributions in the installation of the compact shelves.

When we need to store a large number of pallets by reference and the time that pallets are stored is not a priority, compact shelving is the most used storage system.

Palletizing With Push-Back Shelving

The push-back shelves differ from the small shelves in that each level can store a different reference. For this reason, it is beneficial when we store products of average consumption.

With this storage system, we reduce handling times because it is not necessary for the trucks to enter the corridors for handling pallets.

We can install several levels (up to 4 pallets in depth) thanks to the palletization with push-back system.

With this system, we increase the storage capacity, since we can locate up to 6 pallets in depth and we only need two aisles for every four that are required in-car installation.
